Are you ready for some football?!

Oh, Autumn. Such a beautiful season. Leaves are turning, the air becomes brisk, and the children are returning to school.

But Fall means much more to me than this - it's Football Season boys and girls!!!

Football is an institution around here, and what's better than watching football? Watching football with a bunch of friends, of course!

Now, I don't know about you, but food and football in our family go together like peanut butter and jelly. You have to have one with the other. Though, I always find myself in a pickle deciding which new foods to bring to the proverbial football table. There are always your staples:

I absolutely love nachos, but nobody ever seems to agree on which ingredients to put with the nachos. It's not like it becomes a fight, but I tend to believe that someone ends up with the short end of the stick here.

My solution? Enter the nacho bar. The possibilities are endless and everyone gets to choose what they want on their very own plate of nachos. Win.

And honestly, I think that build your own plate themes are the best ones. You could do the same thing with your sliders - chicken, meatballs, veggie...the possibilities are endless. And they're making me hungry just thinking about them.

What are your football food staples? Any traditions you wish to share?

This girl loves to party all the time!

Ah, there's nothing like a little nostalgia. And yes, I love to party all the time!

A good party should feel good. It should speak to your soul, like an extension of yourself. But, that doesn't mean everything should be just comfortable.

Have fun with it! We have get-togethers with friends and family all of the time. Why should we keep it traditional? Why shouldn't we go against the grain and have a little fun with it?

Fun and ingenuity is contagious. The next time you throw a party, give it a theme! It's up to you how far you decide to go. Some ideas?

Alice in Wonderland - A Very Merry Unbirthday to You!

As a child I always wondered what a tea party would be like, sprinkled with delight with just a touch of crazy, playing a game of flamingo croquet.

Need something with a little less fantasy and a bit more funny?

Trailer Trash Party

And not to say that you would want to ruin your perfectly good washing machine for a party, but the idea is priceless, right?

Ah, candles.

But the best part of this party isn't about your decor. Psyche your friends out to come in costume! Have a best mullet contest - the possibilities are endless!

I love a great costume party.

My husband and I graduated high school in 1995. The 90's define many of our memories of youth, and frankly, we can't reminisce enough about the music, the crazy clothes and dances we used to all make up. He continually tells me we need to have a 90's party. I've toyed with the idea for some time, but only recently entertained what it would take to make it happen. What would it look like? What would we do?

I can't believe these were ever all right.

Admit it, you had a pair.

Ahhh, Cross Colors. Oooooh on the TLC tip...

The possibilities are endless. I can't wait to throw this party now.

However you decide to throw your party, be sure to have fun with it. There's no rule book that says you can't have a themed party "just because." You're having friends and family over right? You're all a little quirky and love to have a good time, right? Sounds like the formula to a fun party to me!

Tell me, what kinds of themed parties have you thrown?
